Mithun Chakraborty’s son Mimoh is quite happy after losing 15 kg in one month thanks to Suniel Shetty, who has cast him in “Loot”.“Suniel sir is one of the best human beings I’ve met in my life. He’s become like a second father specially in Bangkok where he completely took charge of me, forced me to go on a strict, oil-free diet and I’ve come back 15 kg lighter,” Mimoh, who debuted with “Jimmy”,It all started when Mimoh did his first shot for “Loot”. Suniel sir saw me walking towards the camera and exclaimed, ‘You’re looking like a 70 mm frame’. He didn’t mean that in any bad sense. But, you see, I’ve very broad shoulders. I’ve inherited these big bones and the muscular look from my beautiful mother (ex-actress Yogeeta Bali). And I thought there wasn’t much I could do about it. But Suniel sir changed my entire appearance. Now I feel so much lighter. Of course, he says he’s going to cut my salary for ‘Loot’ by half because of what he has done to my bulk. I don’t mind if he doesn’t pay me.”Having inherited his father’s incredible dancing shoes, does Mimoh feel the difference in his dancing as well? No, as a dancer I never felt the weight. My father has taught me to enjoy my dancing regardless of everything. But after having lost so much weight, I feel I’m ready to rock. My first film ‘Jimmy’ has me in that over-muscular look, but from now on I intend to continue with the look prescribed by Suniel sir. In fact, we’re soon shooting a music video for ‘Loot’. You’ve to see how lean Suniel sir, Govinda and I look. Suniel sir has lost more weight although he already had a superb physique.”Mimoh says that a beefy, muscular look doesn’t suit the leading man. I feel the lean look that Suniel sir or Akshay Kumar has is the best. That’s how I intend to look.”Added Suniel: “Mimoh is a wonderful child. When he came to Bangkok, I immediately saw he needed to lose weight. I cut down on his food and put him on a strict diet along with Govinda. They were given specially cooked food. With his new look in ‘Loot’, Mimoh is going to emerge as a potential star.”

Jackie Shroff has sold his ‘Le Papyon’ home in Mount Mary this month and is now on a ferocious house hunt for a five-bedroom dream home for his family. “My kids Tiger and Krishna have grown up so they need their own rooms as do my wife Ayesha and I. Ayesha’s mom is now living with us and needs her room. That makes it four bedrooms and we’ll need a guest room too. That’s why I sold the house,” he says.‘Le Papyon’ was a Bandra landmark and has seen the rise of the actor from his Teen Batti days to his grand debut in films with the smash hit Hero. But naturally, the actor is extremely attached to this home.”I am looking for something in Bandra. As for Le Papyon being a landmark, wherever I will go now it will also become a landmark, eventually. But my little Teen Batti chawl is my biggest landmark,” he says, wistfully. Well, wherever Jackie decides to reside, it will always be home to him and his family. As they say, a family makes a house a home!

The buzz about the multi-crore deal that Hrithik had struck with Adlabs last year is that it’s off! Hrithik wants to return the full amount to Adlabs. But the company is not willing to take a no for an answer.According to a source, “Hrithik has given the cheque back. But they aren’t accepting it. In fact they’ve asked him to keep the money and they’ll make just one film instead of three films for that whole amount with him at a date convenient to him.”Hrithik won’t comment on the status of his deal with Adlabs. All he’ll say about star prices is, “The corporate companies are looking at the movie market expanding in the next 3-4 years. I agree many recent films haven’t done well.But Om Shanti Om and Jodhaa-Akbar reaffirmed the industry’s faith in big films. Jodhaa-Akbar was a period film and above three hours long with no commercial trappings.Theatres across India could’ve just four shows daily. And it’s done 150 crore-rupee business worldwide. For me that’s what matters, not the controversies that happened initially. It’s my biggest hit ever overseas.”

Salman Khan has been working on his look for Dus Ka Dum, the reality show he’s doing with Sony. He’s roped in designer Ashley Rebello to craft a different look for him. It is learnt that the designer has charged the channel Rs 25 lakh for it.

Adds to a source from the unit, “Salman’s designer Ashley Rebello has been appointed as per his demand to design his outfits for the 22 episodes. Salman is upbeat about his small screen debut and is preparing for it in earnest.” The source further adds, “Sallu is known for his ‘hatke’ look and dressing style and is making sure that his TV debut also stands out.”Says Ashley, “The clothes have been designed by Salman’s sis, Alvira Agnihotri and me. It consists mainly of suits a la Alvira-Ashley style. We have given him bright colors and have played with his collars in terms of different cuts, shapes and designs. We also have jeans paired up with tees, shirts and leather jackets.”Albert Almeida of Sony refused to spell out details on the upcoming show.As per Salman’s demands, the set has been constructed at Mehboob Studios, close to his residence at Galaxy Apart-ments, Bandra. Quite like Shah Rukh Khan, the actor also has mock shoots with friends and family on the sets.

Composer Pritam Chakraborty is in a dilemma. He needs to urgently record a track with Pakistani singer Atif Aslam for Aziz Mirza’s Kismet Connection, starring Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan. Faced with passport issues, the crooner can’t travel to India now. Atif, who has rendered popular B-Town tracks like Pehli Nazar Mein (Race), Tere Bin (Bas Ek Pal) and Aadat (Kalyug) apart from his album Doorie, would frequently visit India.Atif is having an issue aboutcoming to Mumbai,” points out Pritam. Mahesh Bhatt, who led Bollywood’s music towards Pakistani singers is shocked about the development on Atif’s front. Says Bhatt, “If singers from across the border are finding it difficult to come here, let me state that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had assured me that entertainment industry folk were free to move back and forth. Neither side would be allowed to obstruct us. If there’s a slowing-down in the process of thawing the ice between the two countries, I’ll personally go to the Prime Minister and address the issue.”Bhatt, who started the movement of musicians and actors from across the border to Bollywood, says “In those days, looking towards Pakistan was looked upon as an act of treason. I was told what I was doing was suicidal. During the last four years, we’ve done more to improve Indo-Pak relations than our predecessors have done in 56 years. We’re even premiering Jannat in Pakistan on May 14.”Apart from recording with Atif, Pritam may also record with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. “There’s a special promotional number which I’ve just composed for Mani Shankar’s Mukhbir. It requires Rahat’s voice. I just might record that song too while I’m in Lahore or I may go for an Indian voice.”

First, it was Aishwarya who flew in to be with her husband Abhishek Bachchan for their wedding anniversary. Now it’s Bipasha Basu’s turn to be with beau John Abraham. The actress flew in from London to Miami to be with her Johnny boy.“It’s just for three days. My work got over on Monday in Switzerland, so I decided to go to Miami for three days to be with John before I go on to my next shoot,” she says, happy to be finally seeing John after a month.While John went off to Miami for Dostana, Bipasha headed for various parts of Europe to shoot with Ranbir Kapoor for Siddharth Anand’s Bachna Ae Haseeno.“Italy was paradise. And I really enjoyed myself in the European summer. I had a super time shooting with Ranbir and the director. In fact, the entire unit was loads of fun. I enjoyed my time in Capri, Rome and Zurich.”Interestingly, Bipasha couldn’t attend the Zee Cine awards in London because she was shooting in Italy, though her co-star Ranbir could. She flew into London to catch a flight for Miami barely 48 hours after the awards.

And now after her brief stint in Miami, she rushes to Bangkok to join Neil Nitin Mukesh for a 40-day schedule of debutant Jehangir Surti’s Freeze.Interestingly, in both Bachna Ae Haseeno and Freeze, for which she shot in Europe and Bangkok, Bipasha plays a slightly older woman to her co-star.

Indian fast pacer Harbhajan Singh had extended an ugly and immodest behavior to his colleague Sreesanth on the field during Punjab Kings Vs Mumbai Indians match in Mumbai. The incident created hullabaloo in the cricket arena when Bhajji slapped Sreesanth in witness of all. A day before the final judgment, Preity watched the exclusive video with Sreesanth.There were about 30 cameras and among those only one camera captured this unceremonious event. Sony has the exclusive rights to it and before the final verdict; the video was released to respective persons and Preity, Ness Wadia and Sreesanth watched the video. Though Harbhajan patched up with Sreesanth in the dressing room and Sreesanth also refused to lodge any complaint against him, BCCI did not let the matter go off without verifying it.After the board reviewed the entire incident, Harbhajan was found guilty of physically assaulting a player and he was dismissed from the IPL losing Rs. 3 crore of bidding. The Mohali team was crowned victorious in that particular match.

After conquering Bollywood, ravishing Kareena Kapoor is heading towards south. Grapevine buzzed that Kareena will act in Telugu film opposite south star Pawan Kalyan in his next flick Puli. Director SJ Suryah and producer Singanamala Ramesh have approached Kareena but she is yet to give her consent.Pawan Kalyan and Ileana’s Jalsa is doing well at the box-office and the filmmaker now wanted to cast a popular Bollywood female lead opposite him in his next film and so they have selected Bebo as she is the most happening actress of hindi cinema. The movie will have both Bollywood and Hollywood connections. Hindi film cinematographer Binod Pradhan will handle the camera and AR Rahman will compose the music of the film. The action sequences of the film will be directed by a Hollywood action director.Kareena have a bagful of Bollywood assignments and if the filmmakers are able to convince her then it would be a great achievement for them. The director and the producer are anxiously waiting for her reply.

Chunky Pandey humiliated Koena Mitra by calling her a man at the Excel Arena Docklands in London while hosting the show. He compared both Emraan Hashmi and Koena Mitra for their smooching nature and said that they share one thing in common apart from the fact that they both look like men.Koena was deeply hurt with Chunky’s statement as she shares a good relationship with him and shared screen space with him in Apna Sapna Money Money. She did not expect such a remark from him. Emraan too commented on Chunky’s remark and felt bad for Koena.However, Chunky tried to mess up the entire episode and explained that he basically did not throw the statement to Koena but it was meant for Karan Johar and Sajid Khan. He blamed the teleprompter for wrongly recorded it. The show will be aired on May 18 and Chunky will ask the organizer to edit the lines before telecasting the show. He further tried to impress Koena by saying that she is the sexiest girl he has ever met.

Top Indian musician A R Rahman has revealed that actress Preity Zinta had approached him to compose a track to help her promote her Cricket team, but he was too busy. Talking to an Indian daily, Rahman said, “Preity had approached me for her IPL soundtrack. But she could give me only a week to compose it. I couldn’t work on such stringent deadlines. So, I opted out.”A R Rahman is currently back in India to help publicise his latest work. 2008 looks like being a bumper year for his fans, as a further 4 projects are planned… Yuvraj, Delhi 6, Ghajini and Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. We have already heard one release of Rahman’s this year, Jodhaa Akbar.
