During an interview to television channel recently, Aamir Khan had admitted to enjoying only one film in last few years and it was Anees Bazmee directed No Entry. He had even further said that its unfortunate that no one nowadays offers him such a whacky film.

We found out that just weeks after that interview, also having seen Welcome, the selective Aamir Khan himself approached writer - director Anees Bazmee for role in his film. He expressed his wish to star in comic caper written and directed by him.

An excited Bazmee states, “I was pleasantly surprised and at the same time thrilled when Aamir called expressing his desire to act in a film by me. I had a subject in mind for Aamir. I then narrated him that story and he even liked it. But, it was a very serious subject. Aamir in turn wanted to to a comedy film with me. So that particular project didn’t work out!”

Bazmee further adds, “Aamir is known to work only with complete bound scripts and I am known to never work with one! He actually rightfully asked me to give him a bound script and I am one director who does not believe in bound script. I have an habit of making last minute improvisations in the script on the sets at times as I am never really satisfied with what I have written before. If fresh ideas come to my mind then I implement them on the sets itself. So I never really end up bothering to write down a complete bound script.” with new ideas. So I never got down to writing a script. I get frightened sitting alone amidst a lot of white papers while writing a script! But direction is more enjoyable as one is surrounded by various people from varied background. Perhaps thats the reason I have still not been able to write that one bound script for Aamir till now.”

Saif Ali has been left red in the face over a kissing scene involving his girlfriend Kareena Kapoor and Hollywood hunk Sylvester Stallone.

Kareena and Stallone were shooting for Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kambakht Ishq in Los Angeles.

As part of the script, Bebo was required to kiss Stallone on the cheek, much to the discomfort of boyfriend Saif who was present at the shooting.

But when it took Kareena three takes to get the shot right, Saif really lost his cool and raised objections.

Kareena, however, did not like the intervention and asked Saif to stay away.

“If you can’t see me doing a kissing scene, then stop coming to the sets of my shootings,” Kareena was reportedly heard shouting.

Stallone plays himself in the movie, which has Akshay Kumar in the lead role.

Aamir Khan has ended the endless speculation over the casting of his next production, Delhi Belly.
After much deliberation, Aamir’s nephew Imran Khan has been finalised to play the protagonist in his mamu’s film. Imran starts shooting for the film, his second Aamir Khan Production after Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na, from October onwards.

A source says, “Ideally Imran would’ve seemed like the perfect choice for the urban sex comedy. But when Imran was doing Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, all Aamir was primarily concerned with was giving his nephew that initial push that would give the debutante a tremendous start. After that, Aamir wanted Imran’s career to take its own course.”

Until Jaane Tu… was complete, Imran wasn’t even in consideration for playing the lead in Delhi Belly. Aamir and his director Abhinay Deo were keen to cast Ranbir Kapoor who had date issues. “Imran was only finalised for Delhi Belly after the success of Jaane Tu… Aamir has signed Imran not because he is his nephew but because he is the right actor for the part in Delhi Belly,” adds the source. Incidentally, Imran is being extremely cautious about the films that he signs. Apparently Imran has turned down a Yash Raj film to be directed by Pradeep Sarkar as he didn’t like the script. At the moment, he is shooting for Soham Shah’s Luck with Shruti Haasan in Cape Town and will return to complete Sanjay Gadhvi’s Kidnap. Neither features Imran in an author-backed role. Even Delhi Belly has an ensemble cast.

Shah Rukh Khan continues to be in the news. Earlier this month, SRK and bad boy Salman Khan allegedly almost came to blows at Katrina Kaif’s birthday party held at the posh Mumbai restaurant Olive. This was apparently over SRK’s alleged refusal to make a guest appearance in Salman’s forthcoming Main Aur Mrs Khanna.

The King Khan is now accused of delaying producer Viveck Vaswani’s long in the making Dulha Mil Gaya. Vaswani diplomatically denies any Khan hassle: “Any big film would take its own sweet time to be completed. Only a few scenes with SRK remain to be canned. One song with SRK remains and we can shoot for it whenever his dates permit. We are not in a hurry.”

SRK, on the other hand, was not too enthusiastic to talk about the film when I asked him about his role in the film. “It is just a guest appearance involving three days work. It involves interior shots in the Mumbai studios. No, I am not shooting abroad for this film.”

Salman Khan is yet to get over the spat he had with fellow actor Shahrukh Khan on his girlfriend Katrina Kaif’s birthday party. The duo who fought for each other in Karan Arjun, are at loggerheads. Adding more salt to the wound, Salman Khan blog carries an article that would surely hurt King Khan.

“You don’t stop the car and start reacting to the dog. You don’t! There’s no point. I don’t wish to react. I don’t have the time for it. Besides, I don’t understand the language of dogs, except for my two - Myson and Myjaan,” Salman wrote. But who is he referring the dog to? Is he referring it to Shahrukh? Only he knows the answer.

The actor seems to be not happy with the way the media has handled the spat. He urges his fans not to react to the rumours. “For the next few days you will hear and read a lot of stuff about me, a lot of it. Keep on reading it, but don’t react to it. I don’t. Read all the negatives and read till they get tired of writing. Everyone goes through this, but not for long. I say just look good, feel good and do good, that’s it,” Salman wrote.

But the truth is, Salman reacts too much. He seems to be reacting to the recent controversies through his blog. It’s reported that he instigated Shahrukh on Katrina Kaif’s birthday, by claiming that his show Dus Ka Dum does much better than Kya aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain?. This led to exchange of words between the Khans.

Salman has started reacting. Wait and watch if Shahrukh will react too!

The body of budding singer Ishmeet Singh, who died after drowning in a swimming pool of a resort in the Maldives Tuesday, was flown in to his hometown Ludhiana in a specially chartered aircraft Wednesday evening.

Mourning relatives, friends and admirers in hundreds flocked the hospital complex where his body was taken from the airport here.

The body was taken to the Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where he gave his last public performance Sunday before a gathering of doctors and their families.

A flower-bedecked open truck took his body from the airport to the hospital complex, accompanied by scores of relatives and friends. A large number of cars and other vehicles were in the cavalcade that took him on his last journey.

The 19-year-old singer died mysteriously in a swimming pool of a beach resort near Male. His body was brought to Delhi and then here.

Ishmeet had November last year won the “Amul Star Voice of India” singing contest and was being projected as a singing sensation.

Salman Khan has brought star cricketers on board for his game show ‘Dus Ka Dum’, but when Salman extended an invitation to actor Akshay Kumar, it was turned down on the pretext of Akshay hosting a show for a rival channel.

Every move that Salman makes hits headlines, be it his relationship with Katrina, his recent spat with srk or the rumours of his breakup with Kats. Sallu has constantly been under the scanner.

This time though it is Salman attempt to mend his ways that has got him back under the spot light.

Salman Khan invited none other than Akshay kumar to be on his show Dus Ka Dum. But that is just the tip of the iceberg; the invite was for Akshay and Katrina

So while that may have been a brow raising act. It is Akki’s refusal that doesnt come as as a surprise. Akshay Kumar declined  the invitation to appear on ‘Dus Ka Dum’ citing the fact that he’s already hosting another show for another channel.

Whether that is the real reason for not appearing on Sallu’s show we do not know for now. But one can’t help but wonder whether the scene at Katrina’s birthday bash a couple of weeks ago had something to do with it.

Rajinikant starrer Kuselan is all set for release. It is heard that Kuselan was to be released in Hindi as well, especially after the response that Sivaji got all over India even from non-Tamil speaking audiences. But now, it seems the Badshah is afraid of the Emperor!
King Khan Shahrukh is working in Priyadarshan’s Billo Barber, the Hindi remake of the same Malayalam film Katha Parayumbol that inspired Kuselan. But if Kuselan releases in Hindi before Billo Barber, it might affect the box-office collections of the latter. So it is heard that SRK called Rajinikanth, requesting him to postpone the release of the Hindi version. Rajni obliged and now, the film will release only in Tamil and Telugu all over the world. The Hindi dubbed version will definitely release but post Diwali, i.e. after the release of Billo Barber.

The otherwise cool and composed man Shahrukh Khan seems to have not taken the recent spat with Salman Khan lightly. He and his wife Gauri Khan left Katrina Kaif’s birthday party recently following a spat with Katrina’s boyfriend Salman, who threw the party. Now, Shahrukh has responded in his won way.

The news is doing the rounds that Katrina is no longer a part of Shahrukh’s Temptation Reloaded Tour. It is said that Katrina, who was part of the tour along with Arjun Rampal, Kareena Kapoor, Javed Ali, Anushka Dandekar and Ganesh Hedge, has fallen victim to King Khan’s wrath. She is out of the tour now.

But is it fair on the part of Shahrukh to come down heavily on Katrina because of Salman? Well, he will reap what he sow at the end of the day because Katrina has a huge fan following.

The actor who was learning to ride horses and often found herself at the Mahalaxmi race course early in the mornings, has stopped horse-riding. And the girl misses her little   ghodi   Embroidery tremendously. But she isn’t complaining…after all her trot to success has now become a gallop.

Lara, who is having a blast shooting for Blue , a film starring, Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar and Zayed Khan, says she is on a training spree for the action-packed slick flick. “My training is such that I am not allowed to do horse riding. They require me to have a certain body-shape for the film, and horse riding wouldn’t work well for that. But yes, we all are working out very hard,” says Lara.

Looking forward to Banda Yeh Bindaaas Hai , and Blue , Lara admits that it was Jhoom Barabar Jhoom followed by Partner that gave her a second lease of life in Bollywood. Not looking back, she continues her journey, spiritual and otherwise with doing what she loves most, and what she’s best at!

So much for B-wood’s Lara Croft!
