Although Ranbir Kapoor comes cross as a shy guy with an understated attitude, he is anything but discreet when it comes to speaking about his love. The real life Saawariya of Deepika Padukone is madly in love and has no qualms admitting it. Nevertheless, he will not tolerate publicizing his love to an extent that there is no sense of privacy at all. At a recent press conference, on being coaxed to comment on his relationship with Deepika, he said, “Too much has been spoken about us. It is high time our work speaks more than our personal life. We are in a relationship but, for now, we are focusing on our career.” He added, “I have already confessed my love for Deepika and don’t think I need to say anything else about it.”

How about his alleged relationship with Sonam Kapoor? Till Deepika came by, there were rumours of proximity between the two Saawariya stars. But they seem to have drifted apart now. According to Ranbir, work got them together and it is work that’s creating a rift. He says, “Sonam will be always special to me. I can’t tell you the degree of love I have for her. I have shared my initial days of acting with her. We have shared our fears, our sad and happy moments. There will never be any friction between us. There was a time when we were a part of each other’s daily lives. But then you move on, do different films.”

The rising star also spoke about his forthcoming flick, Bachna Ae Haseeno. Going by the promos, he is seen romancing Minissha Lamba, Bipasha Basu and Deepika. However, he insists he isn’t playing a Casanova. Ranbir states, “It is about the different stages in a guy’s life between the ages 17 and 30. I had a blast shooting it.”

Ranbir, who has women swooning over him, also has a lot of male fans. Some give credit to the towel dance sequence in Saawariya. Ranbir smiles, “It is heart-warming to recognize the fact that even men like me.” Let’s see if he manages to take theatres by storm again with Bachna Ae Haseeno.
