Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor has turned very vulnerable ever since he broke up with Deepika Padukone. The danger is that people would link him to every girl he is seen with. Now, the news is doing the rounds that pretty Anushka Sharma has bitten by Ranbir bug.

It is said that Anushka is trying her best to bag the role in Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar opposite Ranbir. She is likely to get the plump role, as Imtiaz wants a girl with Kashmiri look and speaks good Hindi, and she has got both.

As Katrina Kaif is out of the competition for the role, as she doesn’t speak good Hindi, Anushka seems to be the best candidate. Keep your fingers crossed girl!

Younger brother Arbaaz Khan gifted big brother Salman Khan a SUV as a ‘Thank You’ gesture for acting in his home production ‘Dabaang’. Elated Salman immediately update the news on his Blackberry messenger status. The car is white in color and it was always in Salman Khan’s wish list. On knowing about Salman Khan’s interest for the car, Arbaaz immediately grab the car that was available in the market.

If he waits for another color then it would be too late to gift his bro because he wanted to gift him the car as soon as he returns from Wai shooting. An insider reveals, “When Salman saw the car at his doorstep in the morning, he was thrilled. He called him to thank him. Arbaaz wanted to be there when the car to delivered to Galaxy Apartments but unfortunately, he got held up in Wai to complete shooting.” Arbaaz confirms, “Yes I have given Salman the car as a thank-you gesture. He was very happy and messaged me.

Now I am waiting for him to drive me down to Wai and also ride in comfort. More than putting a smile on his face, I am more than happy to have given him something that he likes.”  They have been continuously shooting for the film for months long and almost 70 percent of the film completed. Next shooting has been scheduled in Mumbai.

Meanwhile, Arbaaz has taken a short break from the hectic shooting to spend quality time with family and rejuvenate for the days ahead.

Bollywood latest heartthrob of the nation, Ranbir Kapoor is all set to play the legendary singer Kishore Kumar in a Shree Ashtavinayak venture. A versatile singer, Kishore Kumar is a revered figure in the Indian film industry celebrated for his timeless classics. News has it that UTV, Shashank Ghosh, Sudhir Mishra, Nagesh Kukkunoor and Shoojit Sircar have been contemplating with the idea of making a film on the legendary singer.

However, Ashtavinayak may be the one who beats them all. Last week, when Ranbir Kapoor was travelling to Delhi for a conclave, unexpectedly, a writer from Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision was a co-traveller. He narrated a script based on the life of Kishore Kumar to the actor. Once Ranbir heard the story, he told Shree Ashtavinayak that he found the story very fascinating and worth considering the offer. “He told them that it was very entertaining story and he approved of it,” said a source to a news daily.

However, Ranbir’s final approval would depend on the director Shree Ashtavinayak picks. When contacted, Shree Ashtavinayak spokesperson said, “It’s too early to talk about this.” However, Leena Chandavarkar (wife of Kishore Kumar) was quite surprised to know that another film was being intended on her deceased husband as she said, “But I have no problem. I think everybody loves my husband unconditionally. Jo bhi banayenge, theek hi banayenge. Only thing is that they should not misinterpret facts,” added Leena.

Bollywood actor Salman Khan says he is supporting actress Preity Zinta’s Kings XI Indian Premier League team, though he admits he hasn’t watched any of the matches in season-3 of the tournament.”I am supporting Zinta’s team, but I haven’t watched any of the matches as yet,” Salman told reporters at the inauguration of Rahul Dholakia’s film Society in Mumbai.

The film has been produced by Smita Thackeray, who is the daughter-in-law of Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray.Salman believes that media shows the face of society so it should not amplify trivial issues.”Show good things to the society.Sometimes you make stories out of nothing and exaggerate some trivial issues. Don’t do that,” Salman said.

Deepika Padukone in short time has made mark in the Bollywood and made friends too. She might have gone through a bad patch personally after her break-up with Ranbir Kapoor but she has picked herself up well and moved on. According to sources, the reason she might have got over this so quick is her newfound friendship with Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

She started her career with SRK camp and quickly made foray in to other domains of Bollywood. In fact, she is the one who has never confined to any particular camp.The story goes that Deepika and Abhishek got very friendly in Goa while shooting for Ashutosh Gowariker’s Khelenge Jee Jaan Se while she just had a breakup with beau Ranbir.

Deepika and Abhishek bonded well during the Goa schedule and the friendship has become so thick that Deepika is often seen going to Abhi-Ash’s residence for lunches and dinners.

Mumbai, March 16 – Superstar Shah Rukh Khan Tuesday urged Indian filmmakers ‘to learn from Hollywood’ and offered a three-point prescription which could help the globalization.

Aamir Khan and Avatar director James Cameron may work together soon as both showed keen interest to work with each other after their meeting. The duo met at the The India Today Conclave 2010, whose theme was ‘New Decade: Great Expectations’ on March 13. Held at The Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi, the session was chaired by editor in chief of the India Today magazine, Aroon Purie.

The event was attended by the creme de la creme of society, all eager to hear what the two trend setting filmmakers had to say about The Future of Cinema. Taking about Aamir Cameron said, “I am honoured to be sharing the stage with Aamir Khan. He is on top of his game and it is his birthday tomorrow and he chose to attend the session with me foregoing his birthday, so I consider that a great honour.”The perfectionist star also admired Cameron’s cinema though he himself has never been part of any Hollywood film.

To this comment, Cameron quickly retorted: “We could fix that as soon as possible.”  Aamir Khan also rued about the fact that the fact that Bollywood is technologically far behind Hollywood. “I find that Hollywood spends so much time and effort on research and development, which we lack in India. I have always wanted to go to L.A. and learn the techniques of special effects.

Maybe someday I could visit your studio and you could show me what you’ve done with Avatar,” told Aamir.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s attempt to produce Chenab Gandhi, a story on Frontier Gandhi, was very much in the making up awaiting just a few days ago. The movie was being directed by one of his assistants, Vibhu Puri, who had assisted Bhansali on Saawariya earlier. Amitabh Bachchan and Vidya Balan were playing pivotal characters.

Sources reveal that Sanjay Leela Bhansali was not very happy with the director hence has decided to scrap the project.It was earlier reported that Harman Baweja was dropped and Rajeev Khandelwal had replaced him. The source further adds that Rajeev seems to be heart- broken and depressed about the movie being scrapped.

Bhansali remained unavailable for comment.

Amitabh Bachchan joins hand with Salman Khan who is not in the good books of the Bachchans. They have come together for a big task ‘STAR CINTAA Superstars Ka Jalwa’. It is a cause to raise funds for the Cine and TV artists. This a joint project by CINTAA and Star Plus.Speaking about the venture, Mithun Chakroborty Chairman of Cine Artistes Welfare Trust said, “The tower will have all the amenities.It will have an entertainment section, cafeteria, library, preview theater and many more facilities for the artists. It did take a lot of time but now hopefully we will complete the project very soon.”To raise funds, 52 actors will come together and perform on stage.

The names are Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and so on. The fund will be used in the welfare of the artists.They will be provided with medical services, rehearsal halls and preview theatres.”I am very happy to be here and be a part of this spectacular event that will not only entertain the audience but will also encourage a noble cause. I have been a part of Bollywood for over 20 years now and I owe every bit of my success to this Industry,” Salman said at a press conference.
