Aishwarya Rai  who shot with Titanic star Kate Winslet for an ad was all set to do an international movie with none other than Michael Kirk Douglas. The latest buzz in the movie industry is that Ben Stiller is setting up a movie here that will feature Aishwarya Rai in the lead.

For those who can recall, Michael Douglas had considered a number of international films in India and had expressed the desire to work with Aishwarya Rai. He wanted to rope her in his Indian venture.But fate had other things in store before the deal could be sealed. “Throat cancer has taken its toll on Douglas who may lose his voice.

Thus this project with Aishwarya Rai has been called off.”

The final notice call of Nadigar Sangam to the actors who were not associates of the association that they will not be able to function in Tamil films if they do not registered as a member by August 15 has been taken seriously by the artistes this time. She could ask him a couple of times at max to enact this scene for her, but she wanted to view it repeatedly.Thus she purposely kept making errors while shooting her scene; Rajnikant finished up enacting his trademarked stunt six times.”The resource remains, “It was after the wrap-up of the shoot that Ash mentioned to Rajnikant about how much she enjoys the way he does this particular stunt, and she was bluffing so that she could see him do this repeatedly.

Rajnikant burst out laughing and took it in his stride.”Shankar, the director of the movie, said, “We only realised while shooting that Ash was such a big fan of Rajnikant.”Shankar, let’s hope that the cigarette was not lit. It’s not allowed on screen the last we heard…

Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai is the face of the Indian movie fraternity in the West and she knows it is a vast responsibility.On bringing about style consciousness Aishwarya Rai says, Many experts think the style symbol has single-handedly made minimal make-up and styling on celluloid a cooler option than the garishness of the early ’90s.

“For me, less was more on celluloid not in terms of the amount of clothes but in terms of style. I brought in simpler make-up techniques. That’s not me, individually. Having worked with Mickey (Contractor) and worked in advertising, those were my aesthetics.”

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has denied his role in allegedly forming a cartel to corner multiplexes over release of films and argued before the Bombay High Court that the show cause notice issued to him by Competition Commission of India (CCI) was a form of harassment to him. The issue pertains to the strike last year by film producers who decided not to screen movies in multiplexes over payment matters. The multiplex owners had approached CCI which issued a show cause notice to Khan in December last year based on its enquiry report which said he had joined Bollywood producers in a cartel to influence multiplexes over release of films.

Aamir Khan filed a petition in the Bombay High Court challenging the show cause notice on the ground that CCI had no jurisdiction over the issue.When the petition was heard yesterday, Khan’s counsel said the actor or his production house, Aamir Khan Productions Private Ltd, had no role to play in forming the cartel and this was a form of harassment to the actor. Aamir Khan’s Counsel Arshad Hidayutallah argued that at the time of strike none of the films produced by Khan were due for release. He submitted CCI had already made up its mind as its preliminary enquiry report said that there appeared to be substance in allegations against the actor’s production house.

Additional Solicitor General Darius Khambata argued that CCI had the jurisdiction to hear the case. Chief Justice Mohit Shah and Justice S C Dharmadhikari deferred the matter to August 2 for further hearing.

He says, “Last year we had three, All The Best, Blue and Main Aurr Mrs Khanna.There’s enough business in the festival week for a good film.
