Mumbai, Aug 25 – Mallika Sherawat, known to charge anything from Rs.1-Rs.1.5 crore in Bollywood, has signed on the dotted line for the ‘Dhamaal’ sequel without.

Mallika Sherawat seems to have become too busy for Bollywood ever since she’s started working on her biggies from the West, here’s some good news for the actress’ Indian fans. According to the latest buzz, Mallika has replaced Vidya Balan in the much-awaited sequel of comedy flick ‘Dhamaal’.

Actor Amitabh Bachchan had done it and so had some other icons. We are talking about shooting public service ads to eradicate Polio in India. And now actress Mallika Sherawat seems to be doing a follow up of that. The dissimilarity is that she is taking the message to another country altogether.

The actress who has been living in Los Angeles for over a year, now carving a Hollywood career for herself was recently approached to shoot for such an ad and she agreed. The actress posed photographs for some print ads which will be used across all media platforms.

Mallika will be seen in a white evening gown – totally clothed – for the ad!

Mallika Sherawat is courting trouble again. The actress, who is always surrounded by controversies, has received yet another blow as the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA) has taken strict action against her. Mallika, who had received Rs 25 lakh for Kundan Shah’s ‘Masquerade’, refused to return the money after walking out of the movie, thus forcing the filmmakers to take serious action against her.

And now Studio 18 that had filed a case against Mallika Sherawat in IMPAA has won the case, with the association sending a notice to Mallika Sherawat to return 50 percent of the signing amount. Confirming the news Shariq Patel, Sr Vice President of Studio 18 said, “We had gone to IMPPA with a case against her to return our signing amount and the connection has ruled in our favour. They sent a letter to Mallika on May 26 and have instructed her to return 50 per cent of our signing amount for Kundan Shah’s movie Masquerade. It’s a victory for us.”

When asked for his reaction, ace director Kundan Shah said, “It’s none of my business. Studio 18 decided to shelve the project with or without Mallika. Mallika backed out from the movie and they took a decision not to make film at all.”

Obama seems to be getting on to the Bollywood women. Why else would films be made in Bollywood with him in the title? While Kajol and SRK have made some references to Obama in the film My Name is Khan, Mallika Sherawat is working in a film called Love Barrack where she has also posed with his cut out.

Add to that the fact that former Miss India and actress Neha Dhupia is also working in a film called With Love to Obama. “I am shooting for the film at Bhor with Rajat kapoor. He is one of the finest people in Indian Cinema. The team is good and we have a positive feel about the film,” she says. Neha was in the US on a TV show as well and we do hope that the US President also returns the love to our pretty women!

Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat has bagged a role in Doug McHenry’s Love, Barack, a political romantic comedy, which is inspired from 2008 US presidential election. She will be staring opposite Avatar star Laz Alonso. She will play Obama’s coordinator Aretha Gupta.
