It’s just a few days that Dharamji da puttar Sunny exploded with the news of getting backed by frontline directors as his assistants in his forthcoming ‘debut’ film as director. Now it’s turn for Shilpa and Shamita to shock people with their freaky announcement.

It’s after the big jalwa of Big Brother that Shipa almost evaporated from the B-market. And about Shamita, well, better we don’t spend words on her tiny career.

But guess what the two sisters were cooking all these mundane days? No, not even the wildest of your guesses can touch the nearest of the Shetty sisters’ thought zone.

They are planning to explore the field of film production. Yes, that’s how coolly they opened mouth explaining such Bollywood shaking information.

“Yes, we are coming out with our own production house probably by next year. It’s still in the planning stage, ” soft goes Shamita. That means Shetty sisters will no more ask for money, instead they will pay the Bollywood!

Reasoning about her absence from the screen for so long, the choti Shetty further adds, “This is also a reason why you are not seeing much of me on screen. Right now I am concentrating more on my production project.”

The actress has just completed her item number for Hari Puttar but she seems very cool about the dance number. It’s probably because she is still lost in thoughts of dictating whole crew of her upcoming flicks.

Or maybe she is feeling very nostalgic about her acting career which never paid her the kismet she dreamed about.

Well, we only can wish best of luck for an upcoming producer duo. Or should we farewell actor sisters? Anyways, forget it!

Last week, the Madh Island was all fun as the ravishing Shamita Shetty shot for the promotional video of the film, ‘Hari Puttar-A Comedy of Terrors’, with Zain Khanfor. The song was titled as ‘Tutari Baje’ and the shooting was done in a bungalow situated right at the edge of sea shore. Shamita, looking hot as usual, was all too luring for a ten year old kid. In the film, Hari Puttar- A Comedy of Terrors, Zain plays a guy who is fond of Shamita. In the video, it is shown that Shamita walks into Zain’s life, his home and what happens after that.Shamita and her gang of friends kept troubling, pinching and throwing pillows at Zain Khan. The shot was okayed after some nine takes. Zain got impatient with all the pinching and getting pushed around. Every time the director called out for more animation, Zain was seen exclaiming ‘Hey, ours is not an animation film!’.This is Shamita’s first promotional video for any film and talking about it, Shamita said, “Yes, I have never shot for a promotional video where I am not acting in the film. There were two reasons, one that the film’s concept and the song is exceptionally good and second that the head of the production, Munish Purii is a dear friend of mine. When he approached me for the song and discussed the details, the way they wanted to shoot it, I was really impressed and readily agreed”.

Despite being launched in Aditya Chopra’s Mohabbatein (2000) followed by a jig in the chartbuster Sharara Sharara in Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai (2002), Shamita Shetty’s career never really took off. Now elder sister Shilpa Shetty, who starts her production house this year, is planning a project especially for Shamita to put her career on track.The Shamita project would be Shilpa’s second home-production, after the one featuring Shilpa. Writers have been put on to the job of finding the proper vehicle to relaunch Shamita. Says Shilpa, “Enough is enough. I’ve realised my sister is just not pushy enough to get a proper place out here. I had the same attitude and I allowed my career to suffer.”

Adds the actress, “Would you believe I got my first award ever (for Best Supporting Actress in Life In A Metro) in London last week after all these years! It felt good. Things didn’t happen fast enough for my career. But I’m in a position to make them happen for my sister.”The Shamita project will go on the floors right after Shilpa completes her first home production. And the actress will not feature in it.Shilpa is back in Mumbai after shooting for an item song for Karan Johar’s Dostana, directed by Tarun Mansukhani. She now begins shooting with Sunny Deol for The Man. Deol is also directing the film.“I’ve worked repeatedly with Sunny as an actor. Now to watch him direct is a pleasure to treasure. I knew Sunny had it in him. It was only a matter of time,” says Shilpa who’s currently neck-deep in pre-production .“I never knew production was so tough! It’s like producing a baby!” exclaims Shilpa.

That Shilpa Shetty is no more single is a stale news now. Shilpa has found company in UK based businessman Raj Kundra. Kundra was introduced to Shilpa last year by her manager Farhath Hussain with a proposal to launch a perfume. Their professional association blossomed into a relationship in a matter of months. Now, this Raj Kundra is quite close to Shilpa and has been truly accepted by the Shetty Parivaar. Proof? Raj is currently in Mumbai and is busy planning to hold sister Shamita’s party at China House next week. Shamita’s birthday falls on February 5. A source close to the Shettys reveals, “The guest list and the menu are being discussed in great detail. Raj has become close to the Shetty family and Shamita is especially fond of him. She feels he’s right for her sister.”
