Sonoran Desert Bajada Slope Covered in Mexican Gold Poppies

Full prompt

A spectacular desert superbloom blankets the sloping volcanic bajada of the Sonoran Desert in Arizona. Brilliant carpets of yellow Mexican gold poppies and purple owl clover cascade down the rocky hillside, intertwining with pale green brittlebush and spiked ocotillo stalks. Majestic giant saguaro cactuses punctuate the steep grade, their ribbed green trunks providing vertical counterpoints to the horizontal sheets of wildflowers. Early morning desert sunlight rakes across the landscape, throwing warm raking light that emphasizes the coarse decomposed granite and stony contours of the mountain foothills under an immaculate turquoise sky.
