Centaurus and Alpha Centauri in Encaustic Oil Glaze

Full prompt

A wide horizontal 16:9 fine-art gallery composition presents an abstract expressionist mixed-media painting of the southern constellation Centaurus, executed in oil and encaustic beeswax glazes. Immense spatial depth unfolds across the wide canvas through layered impasto textures in midnight Prussian blue, lapis lazuli, and warm asphaltum. On the right, brilliant Alpha Centauri and Hadar (Beta Centauri) radiate through embedded 24-karat gold and bronze leaf that catches ambient light, while scratched sgraffito incisions curve leftward to outline the sprawling mythological torso and limbs of the centaur. Authentic wax drippings, palette-knife scoring, and fine surface craquelure enrich the tactile painting surface, celebrating astronomical cartography through contemporary museum-scale abstraction.
