Selective Focus Autumn Woodland with Soft Leaf Bokeh
selective focus · autumn bokeh · abstract woodland · backlit leaves
Capture an abstract fall forest in a 3:2 landscape photograph for a nature photo essay, using very shallow depth of field. Place a small cluster of copper leaves near the lower right in partial focus, while slender woodland trunks dissolve into soft vertical forms behind them. Backlit foliage should become overlapping circles and irregular pools of honey, coral, and pale green, with no artificial light effects. Shoot from a low position across the forest floor, allowing a dark out-of-focus branch to frame the left edge. Gentle morning light should produce transparent leaf edges and restrained highlights. Keep enough underlying tree structure to preserve the forest setting despite the pronounced optical abstraction.
