Circular Indigo Ink Background on Textured Rice Paper
ink background · indigo · rice paper · minimal art
A square 1:1 abstract background suitable for a social post or gallery artwork. Center an imperfect indigo ink ring slightly below the midpoint, allowing one section to dissolve into watery blooms while another retains a deep, dry-brushed edge. The surrounding rice paper should remain mostly unmarked, showing delicate fibers and warm off-white tonal variation. Introduce a very faint diluted blue wash near the bottom edge to connect the ring with the paper surface. Use the visual language of expressive brush painting without calligraphy, symbols, or lettering. The composition should feel meditative and deliberately spacious, with asymmetry, pigment granulation, and natural capillary edges providing interest rather than additional decorative elements.
