Overhead White Calla Lily in a Geometric Black Field
overhead flower · gouache · geometric minimalism · white gradient
Arrange a 4:3 landscape editorial artwork around an overhead view of one open white calla lily, positioned below center against a black background. Let the spiral opening read as an organic oval rather than a conventional side profile. Give the petal a bright, soft gradient from milky white at its crest to cool gray within the throat. Borrow Barnett Newman's severe spatial organization through one narrow vertical off-white band passing behind, but not through, the blossom. Execute the work as delicate gouache on a smooth black ground, keeping brush transitions quiet and the surrounding field broad, flat, and free of props.
