Terracotta Tropical Foliage in Sculpted Plaster
plaster relief · terracotta · tactile · tropical leaves
Interpret abstract tropical foliage as a shallow sculptural relief across a 4:3 landscape editorial feature. Form overlapping palm fans and rounded elephant ear leaves from matte plaster, arranging them in a slow diagonal from lower right to upper left. Use terracotta, sand, dusty rose, and chalk white rather than conventional greens. Raking afternoon light should reveal carved veins, small tool marks, and softly worn edges. Keep the background as a continuous clay-colored plane, with deeper recessed spaces separating leaf layers. Favor generous shapes and tactile restraint over fine ornament. Frame the relief closely so several forms continue beyond the image boundaries.
